  • Lake & Trail Rentals is conveniently located on Main Street in downtown Norway, MI. Our central location makes it easy for you to pick up and return gear.

  • All rentals must be returned by 5pm CST on the agreed-upon return day to avoid being charged for another day’s rental.

  • For watersports activities, we recommend:

    • Closed-toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)

    • Swimsuit

    • Sunscreen

    • Water

    • Change of dry clothes for after your adventure

    • Wet clothing storage

  • For a day exploring the nearby trails, we recommend:

    • Closed-toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)

    • Sunscreen or sun-shirt

    • Bug spray

    • Water

    • Change of clean clothes for after your adventure

  • All of our rental equipment is perfect for any level of adventure.

    Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to help! We will make sure you have everything you need for your adventure.

  • For cancellations made seven (7) days or more before the pick-up date, customers will receive a 100% refund. minus a $5 processing fee.

    For cancellations within seven (7) days of pick-up date, customers will not receive a refund. It is your responsibility. There are no exceptions to this policy so please remember to account for weather conditions, traffic, construction, etc.

    There are no refunds for illness, weather, early returns or non-usage.

    Individual named on the contract must be present at the time of pick-up or item(s) will not be released.

  • All of our rentals are available for pick up and drop off at our downtown Norway, MI location.

    We do not offer a delivery service for gear, but we are looking at some solutions for the 2026 season.

  • We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay services.

  • Our rental pick-up and drop-off times are by appointment only. If you have any questions about your rental timeframes or need special accommodations, please call us at 906-771-8606.

 Membership FAQs

  • Members can access our full inventory of equipment throughout our summer season of May 1 to October 15.

    Each membership is allocated 7-full day rentals OR 14 half-day rentals each month with a membership.

    Choose how you wish to use your allocated days. For example, members can take all 7 full-day rentals at once with 7 pieces of gear, or space it out over multiple days. It’s your call.

    Members must book online 24 hours in advance to secure their gear.

  • Members have access to our full inventory of equipment. Choose from:

    • Single Kayaks

    • Tandem Kayaks

    • Rigid Paddle Boards

    • Inflatable Paddle Boards

    • Float Tubes & Party Coolers

    • Mountain Bikes

    • Fat Tire Bikes

  • You are free to use the equipment you’ve rented from Lake & Trails Rentals wherever you choose, as long as it is returned in the agreed time frame.
