  • Lake & Trail Rentals is conveniently located on Main Street in downtown Norway, MI. Our central location makes it easy for you to pick up and return gear.

  • Our rental staff is available 7 days a week by appointment only at the following times:

    FULL DAY RENTALS:
    Pick up at 9:00 am CST
    Drop off at 5:30 pm CST

    MORNING HALF DAY RENTALS:
    Pick up at 9:00 am CST
    Drop off at 1:00 pm CST

    AFTERNOON HALF DAY RENTALS:
    Pick up at 1:30 am CST
    Drop off at 5:30 pm CST

  • Our rental pick-up and drop-off times are by appointment only during designated times.

    If you have any questions about your rental timeframes or need special accommodations, please call us at 906-771-8606.

  • For watersports activities, we recommend:

    • Closed-toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)

    • Swimsuit

    • Sunscreen

    • Water

    • Change of dry clothes for after your adventure

    • Wet clothing storage

  • For a day exploring the nearby trails, we recommend:

    • Closed-toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals)

    • Sunscreen or sun-shirt

    • Bug spray

    • Water

    • Change of clean clothes for after your adventure

  • All of our rental equipment is perfect for any level of adventure.

    Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to help! We will make sure you have everything you need for your adventure.

  • Lake & Trail Rentals wants our outdoor adventure seekers to have their very best experience while using our equipment. Although we have a no cancellation policy, we have partnered with our reservation platform, Peek Pro, to provide our users with a path to cancellation, without losing their money. If you accept the “Peek Protect” option while booking, this will offer you peace of mind if the unexpected gets in the way. This option is only available when booking through our website.

  • All of our rentals are available for pick up and drop off at our downtown Norway, MI, location.

    New in 2026, we do offer an add-on Delivery Fee for our kayak, paddleboard, and tube rentals within a 30-mile radius of our Norway, MI location. Our staff will contact you to arrange transportation details once your booking is complete.

  • We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay services.

  • Once you’ve booked your rental reservation, you will receive a confirmation email with all of the details of your reservation, including a link to sign your waiver. Everyone using our rental gear is required to sign our waiver before picking up their rental equipment.

 Membership FAQs

  • Members can access our full inventory of equipment throughout our summer season of May 1 to October 15.

    Each membership is allocated 7-full day rentals OR 14 half-day rentals each month with a membership.

    Choose how you wish to use your allocated days. For example, members can take all 7 full-day rentals at once with 7 pieces of gear, or space it out over multiple days. It’s your call.

    Members must book online 24 hours in advance to secure their gear.

  • Members have access to our full inventory of equipment. Choose from:

    • Single Kayaks

    • Tandem Kayaks

    • Rigid Paddle Boards

    • Inflatable Paddle Boards

    • Float Tubes & Party Coolers

    • Mountain Bikes

    • Fat Tire Bikes

    • Snowshoes

  • You are free to use the equipment you’ve rented from Lake & Trails Rentals wherever you choose, as long as it is returned in the agreed time frame.
